The Territorial Impact Assessment (TIA) Workshop on the Future EU Bioeconomy report has been published, presenting key findings on the territorial implications of the European Commission’s proposed Strategic Framework for a Competitive and Sustainable EU Bioeconomy.
The workshop, jointly organised by the European Committee of the Regions, ESPON and ÖIR GmbH, brought together experts, policymakers and regional stakeholders to discuss how the bioeconomy transition will affect Europe’s regions. Participants highlighted the importance of a place-based approach to ensure that all regions can benefit from emerging bioeconomy opportunities while strengthening territorial cohesion.
The report underlines the value of Territorial Impact Assessment as a tool for supporting evidence-based policymaking and ensuring that regional perspectives are considered in the design of future EU policies.
