Beauty powered by waste: CIRCLE at Cosmet’Agora

TripleW, the CIRCLE coordinator, joined their French distributor, Lavollée, at Cosmet’Agora Conference, the essential European event for cosmetic formulation that took place on 13 and 14 February in Paris.

Over two days, they engaged with industry leaders to explore how their “waste-to-plastic” and “waste-to-chemical” technology fits into the latest trends in raw materials and green chemistry.

Key highlights from the event:

  • Strategic Market Presence: Supporting Lavollée in promoting circulac lactic acid provided a direct platform to demonstrate how upcycled ingredients meet the rigorous safety and efficacy standards required by modern formulators.
  • Industry Engagement: They had the opportunity to connect with key actors, discussing the integration of bio-based building blocks into high-end cosmetic textures and formulations.
  • A Focus on circularity: By showcasing lactic acid derived from food waste, they offered a tangible solution for brands looking to move beyond traditional feedstocks and reduce their environmental footprint.

The CIRCLE project continues to prove that food waste is a versatile resource, capable of meeting the sophisticated needs of the European personal care industry.
