Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) continued to scale up Europe’s circular, bio-based economy in 2024, with increased participation, growing community engagement and high demand for new funding.
Over 1,700 stakeholders connected via the CBE JU networking platform and the widened participation strategy drove a record 298 proposals submitted under the 2024 call. Of these, 31 proposals were selected for funding.
By the end of the year, the project portfolio included 192 funded projects, involving 1,550 participants from 44 countries and €213 million committed to new initiatives.
